THE ACTOR
Cloaked: A New Musical
by Michelle Elliott & Danny Larsen
May - June 2010 (The Shop @ CAP21, NYC)
In this psychological suspense thriller, I portrayed a "wolf" (internet predator) in the "woods" (online world). The cast was wonderful, and I always love working with director Terry Berliner. I got to sing all the high rock tenor lines.

Broadway After Dark's Halloween Extravaganza
October 2009 (Iridium Jazz Club, NYC)
The third in BAD's series of cabarets that took place at the Iridium Jazz club and consisted of songs from cult/horror musicals such as Sweeney Todd, Jekyll and Hyde, Reefer Madness, and Bat Boy: The Musical. I was cast as Dr. Frankenfurter for the Rocky Horror portion of the show,
which was SUPER fun! (Walking in high heels - NOT fun!)

In-Flight Entertainment
May 2009 (Oslo Concert Hall, Oslo, Norway & Det Ny Theater, Copenhagen, Denmark)
A musical spoof including devised parodies of famous Broadway showtunes (my big number was "Defying Gravity" of course). My friends and I developed the plot together and came up with a script for this show. Continental Airlines hired us to perform it in Oslo & Copenhagen, both very beautiful cities which I had never visited before.

The 23rd Annual Easter Bonnet Competition
benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS
April 2008 (Minskoff Theatre, NYC)
This hilarious "competition" at the Minskoff Theatre (currently the home of Disney's The Lion King) featured the companies of various Broadway, Off-Broadway and touring productions. The casts offered skits, songs and/or dances that showcased "bonnets" which represented their show and were created for the event. I was featured in the B'way Tours skit as a kind of rock guru who sang "You're The Best" from the Karate Kid movie in order to motivate another character to "do his best." I also made the backing track to which I sang and played.
The Last Five Years
August 2006 (Cape Fear Regional Theater, NC)
Prior to doing the show, I didn't really know much about L5Y. During FAME in Fayettville, NC, I met Annie Gane, who was helping out backstage. Little did I know how talented and determined she was. The company went out to sing karaoke one night, and I guess I made an impression - she said, "I want to do The Last Five Years with you; I'm gonna make it happen." Two months later, she did just that.

FAME: The Musical
June 2006 (Cape Fear Regional Theater, NC)
This production was a lot of fun. I owe this credit to my good friend, Kara Boyer, who basically got me the gig on her recommendation! I played Schlomo, the music kid, only they changed my instrument to guitar (I don't play violin). My favorite part of this production was that I got to play the guitar solo to the title song live, hooked up to a wireless rig, on top of a cafeteria table. Total Eddie Van Halen 80s cheese!
SCAD Freshmen Orientation
September 2004 (Savannah Civic Center, GA)
The head of Media & Performing Arts cast me in this skit for the kick-off to Freshmen Orientation. He had put together a script where Ozzy & Sharron Osbourne along with various other pop icons of the day (Toby McGuire, Beyoncé, and Jessica Simpson to name a few) welcomed the incoming freshmen. As we entered the stage to "Crazy Train," I think my first line was something like, "All aboard the college train!" Super-silly, and super-fun.

Velvet Rhino: A Vocal Masterclass w/ Eddie Collin
May 2004 (SCAD's Mondanaro Theater, GA)
In order to graduate, every Media & Performing Arts major was required to write, produce, and act in a senior thesis show. My show was really an exercise in improvisational theater - I never wrote a script; just an outline. The cast consisted of friends/teachers from the department and my band, all of whom played themselves (except myself and Chris Stanley, who played a Keith Richards-esque character). The premise was that the college hosted a vocal masterclass with [fictional] aging rock has-been, Eddie Collin. Throughout the "masterclass," I gave singers bad advice & insulted them, untill finally the department's music director, Andrew Levine, stepped in to challege my authority as a "master" of music. My proverbial "F-you" was a heavy metal version of Vivaldi's "Summer - Presto."
Pirates Of Penzance
April 2004 (SCAD's Truestees Theater, GA)
By this point in my college career, I had been in a handfull of ensemble/secondary roles. Then Pirates rolled around and I was cast as one of the leads! It could have been due to the fact that I was probably the only guy in the department who could sing the operatic part! Working with Director, Bruce Roach, and Musical Director, Andrew Levine, was such a great experience; what a fun show and a great cast. My performance garnered me an Irene Ryan Award nomination.

Bat Boy: The Musical
November 2002 (SCAD's Truestees Theater, GA)
In this cooky musical comedy, I portrayed Pan, the Greek God of nature, who presides over the union of the two lead characters, Shelly & Edgar. During my song ("Children, Children"), with the help of many woodland creatures, I encourage Shelly & Edgar to give in to their animal lust, while inciting an "animal orgy" during the instrumental break. I had a hand in creating my costume too; my hooves were created using an old pair of sneakers, inclined wood blocks, foam core, masking tape, and spray paint. They gave me an extra foot in height, and really "made" the costume.

Jeff suits up in knight armor
February 2002 (SCAD Drawing For Sequ. Art class, GA)
One of my Sequential Art professors collected medieval armor, and for one of our class modeling sessions, he let me don an authentic 200lb. suit of armor! I have no idea how men actually faught in those things. The sword weight a ton too. For one shot where I pretended to be dead lying on the ground, three people had to lower me and lift me back up!

Cabaret Eden
November 2001 (SCAD's Mondanaro Theater, GA)
Cabaret Eden was the senior thesis project of fellow SCAD graduate, Jeremy Seghers. The show is very closely based on Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It was my first experience being Musical Director of a show. Coincidentally, I went on to MD Hedwig just a few years later.

The Ransom Of Red Chief
January - April 1989 (An assortment of Miami-Dade County elementary schools, FL)
I thought it'd be fun to include a few "little Jeffrey" shots. This set contains pictures of one of my very first acting experiences. My mother was an operatic soprano who performed regularly with the Young Patronesses of the Opera (YPO) in South Florida, which produced shows that toured local elementary schools. In this O. Henry based operetta, I was cast as Johnny Dorset, the town brat who gets kidnapped by two drifters who hold him for ransom. The tables turn when his father, the richest man in town, knowing his son's hellion nature, counters by telling the kidnappers to return his son and pay him a sum of money to get Johnny off their hands. Realizing they're in over their heads after being tormented by Johnny, the kiddnappers do just that.

THE MUSICIAN
The Elements
April 2011 - Current
I'm the male lead vocalist in this all-star wedding band of musical mercenaries. "We bring the party" is the band's motto, and that's exactly what we do. Specializing in 80s pop & rock, the band's catalogue covers favorites from every decade. **PHOTOS COMING SOON**
Shannon Corey
May 2010 - Current
Shannon's keyboard work speaks of both classical study and a great sensitivity to what any given songs needs rather than how many notes it can hold before exploding. I thoroughly enjoy expanding the sonic picture of her music by adding a distinct guitar part that compliments her piano part. This set contains photos from one of our gigs at The Bitter End.

Blue Jupiter
April 2010 - Current
Blue Jupiter is a high-energy, pop-jazz a cappella quartet, in which I sing lead tenor. Various incarnations of the band have existed since its inception in 2001, and the current line-up has been going strong since early 2010 and is in the middle of recording an album due to drop this year! This photo set contains shots from various gigs in NY, DE, & VA.

2/3 Goat
January 2010 - January 2011
2/3 Goat (Two-Thirds Goat) is an NYC-based band with "metrobilly" tendencies. Their musical fusion of folk, blues, rock, and country summons the likes of Cash & Carter, with a contemporary spin. 2/3 Goat is, as it proclaims to be, "Not your average farm band." The current band (a more acoustic version) is in residency in TN, although when they're in NYC I play lead guitar for the full band shows.

Jonathan Walsh
November 2009 - August 2010
Jonathan Walsh is a NYC-based singer/songwriter whose "laid back, good time" music evokes the sounds of Jason Mraz & Jack Johnson and puts a smile on the face of any audience member. I enjoy adding a more electric texture to Jonathan's acoustic music. Lately he's been on tour with his other band, The Yes Team, but I'm certain we'll pick up where we left off once he returns.

Yellowman
October 2009 - Current
This rock supergroup performs quarterly at the Boomer Esiason Foundation's REFI Rock event. The money raised at these awesome events directly supports the cystic fibrosis community via BEF's scholarship and transplant grant programs. This photo set showcases the various venues at which we've performed, including Terminal 5, Central Park Zoo, Pacha NYC, and Liberty Island!

Josh & Jeff
September 2008 - Current
Josh & I met as singing waiters at Ellen's Stardust diner, and quickly became friends & musical consorts. Josh's sense of humor & masterful songwriting skills matched with my lead guitar prowess & tasty harmonies make for an awesome acoustic power duo.

Ryness
September 2007 - Current
Of all the bands I've ever played with, Ryness is definitely one of my favorites. This power rock quintet essentially has three lead-calibre singers (one who actually sings lead, one who plays lead guitar, and one who plays keys), and a super-tight rhythm section. We've recorded one full-length studio album (A Fire In The Night), and one live album (Live @ Joe's Pub). The band has been on a bit of a hiatus, with two of our core members on out-of-town theater gigs, but once they get back, we'll be ready to rock!

Kevin Ray
June 2007 - Current
Kevin is a NYC-based singer/songwriter/pianist who mostly plays solo shows, but when he rocks a full-band show, he enlists my services. I've also recorded some guitar and vocals for an up-coming album of his.
**PHOTOS COMING SOON**
Jeff Washburn - Solo
May 2007 - Current
Most of the time I'm rocking with other bands, but occasionally I do put together my own shows. This set contains pictures from my Hendrix Tribute Show with the Les Paul Trio at the Iridium Jazz Club, as well as some other promotional shots, and some old pictures just for fun.
